<p>Ryan Oberg, Williamston High School Senior, has earned his place in the national competition that takes place in Kansas City, June 20-25. Ryan spent two years at the Capital Area Career Center in the Construction program, where he has learned many aspects of building a home including blueprint reading, framing, exterior finishing, electrical and plumbing.</p> Construction Student Heads to Nationals
<p>On May 6, students from across the state gathered at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie to participate in the annual MITES (Michigan Industrial and Trade Education Society) precision machine technology competition.&nbsp;</p> Precision Machine Students Display Skills at MITES
<p>On May 20 from 12-7 p.m., nine programs at the Capital Area Career Center spent the day talking with guests about their work and accomplishments for the year. Over 450 people attended the event where they enjoyed free services such as hand massages from Cosmetology, vehicle safety inspections from Auto Tech and tasty creations from the Culinary Arts program. </p> Showcase Highlights Student Work
<p>Two Automotive Technology students, Sean Boyce (Stockbridge) and Travis Way (Mason) qualified and competed in the Ford AAA state competition on April 28th. They took 7th place in the state! </p> Auto Tech Students Take 7th in Ford AAA Competition
